The effective litter clearance of the Lees a fortnight ago has spurred on the volunteers of the Trust and they are going to carry out a litter-pick this Tuesday in three areas: the walk-it pathway at the bottom of Home Park, the woodland area behind the Lees Steading towards the golf club and the pathway from the Hirsel Lodge towards the Health Centre. Litter-picking equipment and black bags are available. All you need is gloves. We are meeting in the Castle Hotel car park at 11am. Please feel free to join the squad.

Elspeth Bell and a squad of volunteer have started brightening the Leet Room. It's been good fun for the volunteers and the room will be much improved. The Knit and Knatter Group have paid for the paint, for which the Trust is completely grateful.

Now that 28 businesses have given us their business adverts, and donations to support the 2016 Borders Walking Festival, all 28, and important Coldstream businesses, will soon be listed on our website, under 'Organisations' and then 'Business Directory'. The Community Council is inviting locals to join them in clearing the litter from the public pathways around the Lees, caused by the recent flooding. Meet community centre at 9:30am next Sat 20th. Equipment will be provided, but bring gloves.

After 128 households registered for a quote in the autumn 2015 switch, another 41 recently registered for a quote in the winter switch. 78 of the 128 are saving money and it looks like the 41 have a good chance too. While households are saving money, the Community Trust is getting a little 'cut'. Keep going Coldstream!

At the end of 1st February, the registration system closes for quotes. To date 45 households have registered for a quote. 24 hours and a bit left. Go to energy switch part of the system to register for a quote. The spring auction for cheaper prices starts in April.
