There has been great relief amongst the Community Trust that walk bookings are good. Last week there was a 27% rise on the previous week. In total, over the 31 walks, there are 388 individual walk bookings, with 3 months to go until the festival. The 388 bookings have been made by around 120 walkers. Surprisingly, the bookings have been made by 384 non-locals and only 4 walkers. Therefore, locals are urged to help us achieve the target of 500 walk bookings.

However, this problem is to be overcome through property guru Gordon Thompson getting estimates from reliable firms and Catherine Hadshar and Linda Trickett being awarded a grant to cover the cost. Well done, to those involved.

A great number of the 100 households who have switched are now coming out of the winter period perhaps with a debit balance and a little rise in their monthly direct debit. The spring period should regulate this debit balance and switchers need to look at their energy usage and it's also important to remember that switchers are on a far cheaper tariff than their previous supplier was charging. Everybody, taking account of their circumstances, should be enjoying savings. If not, we are here to help.
