The Community Trust is hosting a community auction of spare assets from households etc in the community centre on Saturday 8th July at 1pm. People normally have things in their house or business that they would love to get rid of (partners and spouses excluded of course!) but haven't the time to do it. Why not let us know what you want rid of, we will auction it and you can donate a slice of the profit to the community trust to help maintain the important community centre. The % donation to the trust is entirely up to you. Heavy assets can be lifted from your premises, if you can't manage it.

Coldstream has a great opportunity to get itself on the investment radar, through a Coldstream Study and a Community Action Plan (CAP). After much serious planning and organisation, and managing the project funding of the Big Lottery: Investing in Ideas Fund, here are the key dates:- - week commencing 5th June - Coldstream resident Qs are being completed by around 100 Coldstream and district pupils at Berwickshire High School. Very grateful to the school as it's important to have the views of the youth of the town. - week commencing 12th June - through community volunteers, around 1,300 resident questionnaires are being delivered through house letterboxes. Around 100 business questionnaires are being handed into all sorts of businesses in the town and around 65 questionnaires of a different nature are being delivered to the secretaries of charitable and voluntary organisations. Visitor questionnaires are being deposited in visitor accommodation. - week commencing 26th June - the volunteers will be collecting the questionnaires. Should they have no answer, then questionnaires can be deposited on the High Street, at Moffat's the Newsagent or through the Community Centre letterbox. - Early July - the questionnaires will be analysed and summarised and heading towards a CAP **************** Helpful notes: 1) questionnaires are confidential; takes about 20 minutes to complete one 2) 'No cold-callers' houses are asked to be sympathetic to the project 3) no lengthy doorstep discussions, prompted by volunteers 4) Feature in the Coldstream Community News   5) The charitable and voluntary organisation questionnaire is aimed at committees, not the full membership of the body. Hope this helps.
